Hayfork is the largest valley in Trinity county. There are several neighborhoods in town that have a mix of single family homes as well as homes on larger parcels and ranches that are situated in outlying areas. Click here to see raw land listings. The land itself varies from pasture to mountains and rolling oak hills here. Town itself has a large park with skate ramps and activities for the kids. Ewing resoivoir is a popular place to picnic and hike around. Population is about 2,400 people. Historically after gold, came timber and when the mill shut down in Hayfork it was borderline ghost town. These days the cannabis industry is thriving with lots of usable land and many farms already established. You will find loggers here alongside environmentalist and cannabis industry players.

Major areas stretch from Summit Creek Road to Hayfork Proper, Salt Creek / Peanut area and along Hyampom Road. To get to Hayfork, you would take Highway 3 at Douglas City off of Highway 299 to get here. Weaverville is the quick stop for supplies, but Redding is only about a half hour drive longer and has major shopping. Hayfork is itself a supply stop for many towns in central and Southern Trinity and can hold its own. Hyampom often uses Hayfork for supplies, as do people in Forest Glen, Mad River and Ruth.

There are many restaurants and a handful of bars and a bank. There is a gas station, lumber yard and hardware store, several nurseries, a feed store and even a small airstrip. Senior living is availalble here. There are a couple of nice parks and Ewing reservoir is also a nice spot. The Trinity County Fairgrounds are held here. As with everywhere in Trinity there are plenty of hiking trails and special spots, swimming holes and more (look up Natural Bridge).
Many farms established cannabis operations are already operational in Hayfork which has excellent growing conditions. The elevation is 2310 Hayfork and falls in hardiness zones 8a and 8b.
