Zion National Park

Sand Hollow Reservoir/State Park

With its warm, blue waters and red sandstone landscape, one of Utah’s newer state parks is also one of its most popular. Boat, fish, and dive at Sand Hollow Reservoir, explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain on an off-highway vehicle, then RV or tent camp in a campground or the beach.

Quail Creek Reservoir/State Park

Boasting some of the warmest waters in the state and a mild winter climate, Quail Creek lures boaters and anglers year-round. Camp. Hike. Explore. Home to St. George Aqua Adventures, this waterpark offers a fun and refreshing experience for visitors of all ages.

Gunlock State Park

Boat, fish, and swim on the tranquil waters at Gunlock Reservoir, or enjoy an afternoon picnic on the beach.  Warm waters during summer and a mild winter climate make the park a year-round destination. Lucky visitors may see Gunlock Falls running, which happens when the reservoir reaches capacity.

Snow Canyon State Park

Red Cliffs National Conservation Area

The Red Cliffs National Conservation Area comprises 45,600 acres of ecological diverse landscapes located at the convergence of the Mojave Desert, Colorado Plateau and Great Basin physiographic regions.  More than 130 miles of designated hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails are available for public use.

Toquerville Falls

Toquerville Falls is an oasis in the desert that is best found by truck, SUV, or ATV. The road is rough, but worth the trip. The views are spectacular and the waterfalls are great to look at and play in. The area is clean and great for families and can also be reached by hike (about 11 miles round trip).

Red Hills Desert Garden

Red Hills Desert Garden is Utah’s first desert conservation garden. The nearly 5-acre garden features 5,000 water-efficient plants, a 1,150-foot stream stocked with native and endangered fish species, a replica slot canyon and prehistoric dinosaur tracks found onsite dating back 200 million years.

Pioneer Park/Dixie Rock

This 52 acre rustic community park is a rock climber's paradise. From Dixie Rock, also known as the Sugarloaf, spectacular views of downtown, White Dome, Zion National Park and Arizona can be seen. This park has a large trellis pavilion, several small picnic areas and a separate fire pit with an amphitheater.

Mountain Bike Trails

Mountain biking in St. George is pretty dreamy. With year round access and diverse trails, riders take in spectacular views of sandstone cliffs and desert sky. Tons of places claim they are "Utah's best kept secret" but when it comes to mountain biking, St. George literally is.

Stucki Farms Mini Golf

Out at The Resort at Stucki Farms there is a miniature golf course that is unlike any other mini golf experience in Southern Utah. It is built with artificial grass and has no borders. McQuarrie Memorial Museum

Through the generous donation of Hortense McQuarrie Odlum, the McQuarrie Memorial Museum was built in 1938 (AKA Pioneer Museum in St George). Hortense, along with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, directed the Museum to be built to house pioneer artifacts, photos and histories of those who came to settle Washington County.

Dinosaur Discovery Site
